About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Candidates must have AWHONN Intermediate certification in hand or provide proof that they are signed up for the class. Candidates must have experience as a circulator for C-sections. Weekend shifts are required based on unit needs. On-call requirements may apply based on unit needs. Floating to meet facility needs is required. Description: Candidates must be pre-closed on housing prior to submission. Ten days of requested time off (RTO) are approved at maximum. RTO is not allowed during specific periods throughout the contract. First-time travelers are accepted. Charting experience with Epic is required. Experience in clinical leadership and a desire to mentor other RNs is preferred. The unit consists of 10 beds with 5 labor and delivery rooms and 5 postpartum rooms. Candidates should be able to perform a range of skills, including the administration of blood products, neonatal assessments, and support for breastfeeding. Candidates must have experience with high-risk deliveries and be familiar with various medical procedures required in labor and delivery. Candidates should be adept in managing both low and high acuity patients in the labor and delivery environment. Completion of all facility-specific training is required within the first week of the assignment. It is essential for candidates to check internal communication channels for updates and requirements.
