Territory: Central & North Florida
Travel: Regional travel (daily + occasional overnight)
Position Overview
ATEX Distributing is seeking a seasoned Outside Sales Representative with a strong background in HVAC distribution to drive growth across Central and North Florida.
This role focuses on developing and expanding relationships with mechanical contractors, commercial accounts, and key customers across the region. The ideal candidate is a proven producer with strong product knowledge, territory ownership experience, and the ability to generate new business while maintaining existing relationships.
This is a high-impact field role for someone who thrives in a competitive market and understands how to grow a territory within HVAC distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with mechanical contractors/users and HVAC customers across Central & North Florida
- Identify and close new business opportunities while managing existing accounts
- Actively prospect and build pipeline (jobsite visits, contractor outreach, referrals)
- Manage pricing, quoting, and project opportunities
- Partner closely with inside sales and operations teams
- Represent ATEX in the field with professionalism and urgency
- Track pipeline and activity in CRM (NetSuite)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC distribution sales experience (required)
- Proven ability to manage and grow a territory
- Established relationships with contractors/users and commercial customers
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment (RTUs, splits, IAQ, etc.)
- Self-starter with a hunter mentality
- Comfortable with regional travel
- CRM experience preferred (NetSuite a plus)
- Valid driver’s license
