Department Description Team oriented Peer support Fast-paced work environment Schedule Full-time, 40 hours/week Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm and 10am-7pm, rotating weekends and holidays Location Baystate Medical Center Springfield, MA Job Specific Duties / Responsibilities Serving customers at various stations such as Deli, Steam/Sautee Station, Salads, Grill, Coffee Station, Prep and Cashiering. Preparation of food items such as slicing, dicing and mixing of various food items. Utilizing industrial equipment such as meat slicer, buffalo mixer, food processors and knives of all sizes and shapes. Maintains neat and clean uniform and adheres to hair and facial hair restraints according to departmental and the health department standards. Adheres to proper hand washing policy. Demonstrates operational needs of the department and displays teamwork in assisting their peers. In the absence of the Dish Room Attendants, assist in the ware washing of pots and pans, serving trays, utensils and maintaining trash receptacles around the restaurant. Other duties and responsibilities as needed. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required ServSafe certification preferred Experience in food industry and customer service preferred GED or HiSET (Required) Certifications ServSafe Food Handlers Certified – ServSafe National Restaurant Association Advantages of Working with Baystate! Compensation Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non‑exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
