The Opportunity As a General Dentist, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered dental care while helping create a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for every patient. You'll work collaboratively with dental professionals and support staff to deliver high-quality treatment, educate patients, and promote long-term oral health. Although PopUp Smiles operates a mobile dental healthcare model, this position is based in Newport Beach and would only require travel in Orange County. ( Newport Beach, Orange, and San Juan Capistrano) What You'll Do Deliver Exceptional Patient Care Perform comprehensive oral examinations and evaluate patients' dental health. Diagnose dental conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide preventive, restorative, and general dental treatments within your training and scope of practice. Explain treatment options clearly and help patients make informed decisions about their oral health. Maintain high standards of patient comfort, safety, and clinical care. Collaborate With a Dedicated Dental Team Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative team members. Foster a supportive, respectful, and collaborative clinical environment. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth patient scheduling, treatment coordination, and continuity of care. Contribute to a positive patient experience at every stage of treatment. Maintain Clinical Excellence Follow all applicable California Dental Board regulations, HIPAA requirements, OSHA standards, and infection control protocols. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, diagnoses, and treatment records. Stay current with advancements in dentistry, clinical techniques, and best practices. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality. Contribute to Practice Success Support efficient clinical workflows and responsible use of practice resources. Build patient trust through education, communication, and quality care. Collaborate with the team to improve patient satisfaction, treatment acceptance, and overall practice performance. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental program. Active California dental license in good standing. Current CPR/BLS certification. DEA registration, when required for assigned duties. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and patient education abilities. Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, patient-centered dentistry. Ability to work collaboratively in a professional dental environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience practicing general dentistry. Proficiency in restorative and preventive dental procedures. Experience with digital dental records and practice management software; Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
