Administrative Assistant / Graphic Design CrossPoint Community Church

This job almost entirely remote, and this also is negotiable. It is weekly projects of admin assistance- creating power points and monitor announcements etc…for a church. It is estimated to be about 5 to 7 hours a week.

OVERVIEW:

The Administrative Assistant | Graphic Design position oversees all creative operations, which encompasses weekly projects including but not limited to: Preparing PowerPoint Presentations for Church Announcements, Worship Song Lyrics, and Sermon Outline/Notes, and the Order of Service document. Quarterly projects include but are not limited to: Ministry Team Schedules (prayer, preaching, scripture reading and worship leader Accountability: Reports to and is supervised by the Pastor, who is Head of Staff. Work is coordinated by him. Will also work in conjunction with the church Audio/Visual Team Working Conditions: Primarily Remote with occasional in office time; ability to work flexible schedule; ability to speak and communicate clearly Education Requirements: High School Diploma required; proficient in digital art software Qualifications: Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills Ability to adhere to client confidentiality policies and procedures Hours: Part-Time – 5-8 hours per week. Number of work hours will vary depending on the workload. Responsibilities: Preparation of Multiple PowerPoint Slide Decks for Projection during Sunday Service Preparation of Order of Worship Service Preparation of Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Ministry Team Schedules Record Keeping Workplace Culture: All church employees will represent CrossPoint Community Church positively and in a manner that accords with the church vision statement, “to be a crossing point where diverse people unite to become devoted Christ-followers; act as good stewards of the church’s resources and help build cohesion among the staff. JOB DUTIES:

Announcements PowerPoint Slide Deck (Weekly ) – begins with a welcome slide, ends with a thank you for joining us slide. Includes information from the Pastor and Ministry Leaders regarding upcoming events and all information pertaining to CrossPoint weekly services and meetings such as Prayer Meetings, Youth and Children’s Group, Racial Justice Team meetings, Leadership Team meetings, Spanish Church Sunday School and Worship Services, monthly Birthdays and Anniversaries. Maintain these electronic files by Category, Name, Date. Worship Song Lyrics PowerPoint Slide Deck (Weekly) – the songs selected by the Worship Leader will be emailed to you with lyrics and may include YouTube links for the Worship Band. These songs are usually provided on Wednesday afternoon or evening but sometimes later depending on the week. Create the lyrics on PowerPoint slides (Widescreen 16:9). Use backgrounds that go well with lyrics and according to the season. Fonts and sizes for display are Arial or Calibri 45 to 50 point. Type paragraphs according to phrasing and repetition. The first slide in the deck should be the Worship Scripture Verse to be read before the singing. The Pastor provides this scripture. Maintain these electronic files by Category, Name, Date. Sermon Outline/Notes PowerPoint Slide Deck (Weekly) – these are usually emailed to you by the end of the week from the Senior Pastor or Associate Pastors. Select an appropriate graphic for the Theme. Try to find or create a graphic that goes with the sermon theme by reading the key scripture and key words in the sermon theme. Upon completion of slides, email to Pastor or Associate Pastor for their review. Maintain these electronic files by Category, Name, Date. Order of Worship Service (Weekly) – Once you receive info from the Pastor and prepare the Order of Service document, email to the Sunday morning team involved for that Sunday including the Worship Band members. Order consists of PreAnnouncements (Housekeeping), Worship List, Prayer Leader, Scripture Reader, Sermon, Event Announcements. This also goes the Administrative Assistant’s book. Schedules (Monthly/Quarterly) – Schedules are provided by the Pastor and are usually done on a quarterly basis for prayer, preaching, scripture reader and worship leader. Past schedules are available for context. Audio/Visual Team (Weekly) – work with the A/V Team to create a procedure and schedule for projection of PowerPoint slides. Records (On going) – Maintain all digital & hard copy files by Category, Name, Date. Weekly Communication with the Pastor and other Administrative Assistants.
