This role combines data, technology, and strong business partnership to modernize how sourcing decisions are defined, executed, and communicated. This position operates within a forward-looking procurement organization that is actively embedding digital tools, advanced analytics, and emerging AI capabilities into sourcing workflows—enabling smarter decisions, faster execution, and increased enterprise value.CVS Health's Enterprise Procurement department is in search of a Senior Manager, IT Strategic Sourcing and Category Management (Infrastructure Procurement team) who will be responsible for indirect products and services within Infrastructure (IT Hardware, Data Center, Network, Servers, Laptops/PC, Telephony, CCaaS).Responsibilities:Develop and evolve multi-year category strategies, leveraging market intelligence, demand analysis, total cost of ownership, and negotiation strategies to drive sustainable value and risk mitigationDefine and lead category-level negotiation approaches, aligning objectives, negotiation levers, and concession strategies with financial goals, market dynamics, and enterprise prioritiesLead stakeholder and leadership reviews to align category sourcing and negotiation roadmaps with financial, operational, and enterprise strategyUse advanced spend and market analytics to inform negotiation planning, guide cost reduction, optimize the supply base, and unlock category valueAdvance category strategy through emerging technology and AI, applying automation and analytics to enhance negotiation insights, improve cycle times, and strengthen decision-makingLead end-to-end sourcing initiatives for complex categories (RFx through contract award)Execute negotiations with embedded productivity, continuous improvement, and market-based pricing mechanismsDeliver year-over-year savings through disciplined opportunity pipelines and value trackingApply competitive bidding, should-cost analysis, and total value frameworks to maximize outcomesAct as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by translating sourcing strategies into clear business resultsDrive cross-functional alignment across Finance, Legal, IT, Contracting, and OperationsCommunicate insights and recommendations in concise, executive-ready formatsDevelop sourcing talent in analytics, negotiation, and sourcing methodologiesFoster a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-makingStrategic mindset connecting analytics, technology, and business outcomesProven ability to lead sourcing initiatives end-to-end in evolving or transformational environmentsStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional influenceComfort navigating ambiguity and driving structure through data and process disciplineInterest in leveraging automation, advanced analytics, and AI to elevate sourcing effectivenessRequired Qualifications7-10 years working experience5-7 years of professional experience related to Sourcing & Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, Project Management, or Management ConsultingAbility to travel up to 10%Preferred QualificationsPossess a strong business acumen and high level of problem solving and critical thinking skillsExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to confidently and expertly interact with internal and external stakeholdersStrong analytical ability, strategic thinker, learn and process new information quicklyAbility to quickly capture, analyze, and summarize large data setsStrong organization and project management skillsShown ability to handle multiple tasks without direct supervision, while paying strong attention to detail and follow-upIntellectually curious, eager to gain new experiences, qualifications, and responsibilitiesNegotiation Skills / ExperienceVendor Management / Consolidation ExperienceExperience with electronic sourcing platforms, such as Ariba eSourcing, is a plusEducationBachelors degree required, Accounting/Finance preferred. MBA preferred.This role requires 2 days in office and does support sponsorship at this time.Pay Range: $82,940.00 - $182,549.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
