We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cardiac catheterization procedures and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Job Details

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Schedule: 4x10s, Monday to Friday, 0700 - 1730 with a rotating day off
• On-call Requirement: 10-12 days of call per month, including weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterizations and assist in various cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide direct patient care during procedures.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain a sterile environment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• During downtime, float to the emergency department as a sitter or assist on med-surg floors to respond to call lights.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a cardiac cath lab or related field.
• Certifications: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (AHA).

Skills

• Strong technical skills and the ability to operate specialized cath lab equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
