Join us!Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary:The Registered Nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The Registered Nurse may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC.II. Position Requirements:A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure. Current BLS and ACLS Certification (through American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 30 days and NRP certification within 120 days required. Current AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification within six months of employment. RNC and C-EFM preferred.**Colleagues participating in a transition to practice program must have all required certifications at the completion of their program and transition to independent practice.B. Education:Graduate of a certified School of Nursing, BSN preferred.C.
