Telemetry/Stroke Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry/Stroke Registered Nurse to provide quality care to patients with a range of medical conditions, including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization, stroke, and sepsis. The nurse will also support patients undergoing alcohol and substance withdrawal.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Telemetry/Stroke Unit
• Unit Size: 30 beds
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 5:1
• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Stroke experience is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in a telemetry/stroke setting.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.

Call and Float Requirements

• No on-call responsibilities.
• May be required to float to other units as needed.

Schedule Requirements

• Weekend commitment: Every other weekend.
• Holiday commitment: One winter holiday.

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
