Apply and learn why there's #MoreatFreddieMac Our Impact: Our Capital Markets division’s well-established DevOps team is managing, operating, and extending its Agile (Nimble Development Methodology, aka Nimble) based platform for software developments. The Nimble DevOps: Owns releases and production integrity, enabling Capital Markets to manage Freddie Mac’s retained portfolio as well as debt funding, liquidity management, interest-rate hedging and securitization Provides a platform for the division’s software development community (300+ professionals), guaranteeing consistency between development, integration, pre-production and production environments Delivers automated tools and pipeline for continuous integration and development (CI/CD), meeting demanding and challenging business needs in a controlled yet efficient and timely manner Your Impact: You will own the entire Nimble tool chain. Through it, you support, directly and indirectly, various development teams to maximize Nimble’s value proposition. As the subject matter expert to the development community, you support providing a one-stop technical solution to anyone delivering products driven by business in a timely, efficient, and agile manner. You will thrive on developing, maintaining, and extending Nimble's automation fabric and enhancing tools for Project workflow, source code and artifacts management, development workflow, continuous build and integration, test automation, and continuous delivery and deployments. Qualifications: 5yrs+ experience of Unix Administration 5yrs experience of engineering automated software delivery toolchains Clear understanding of security practices and identity management in SDLC tools 5yrs+ experience of hands-on experience with Docker 5yrs+ experience developing solutions and managing environments that automate software deployment and configuration 5yrs+ experience in infrastructure engineering for both non-production and production environments 10+ years of relevant professional work experience Expert in Operating System Platform Configuration: Linux platforms (Red Hat) Automated configuration management (Ansible is a must) Expert in High Availability techniques: Failover techniques and load balancing (hot-cold implementation is a must) Business continuity — wide area resiliency Expert in scripting languages: Bash (must have 10+ years of hands-on experience) Knowledge of Application Software deployment and orchestration techniques (yum) 5yrs+ of Java application deployments and Java resource management Python Groovy Keys to Success in this Role: Unix administrator with software developer’s acumen and drive to deliver automated solutions Intellectual agility and interpersonal flexibility Facilitate complete solutions meeting software developer, infrastructure and DevOps teams’ needs Develop fully automatic and lights-out implementations Strong consultation and communications skills Curiosity to learn and instill new paradigms in others Current Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $130,000 - $196,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
