Company Overview Mitchell County Regional Health Center (MCRHC) is a 25‑bed critical access hospital located in Osage, Iowa, serving a population of 10,600 in Mitchell County. The hospital includes a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room that sees approximately 3,200 visits annually and a Surgical Services department that performs over 1,300 procedures per year, covering General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and Podiatry. About the Job This position reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services. Primary duties include staffing a second crew call position, driving inter‑facility transfers, and supporting the policies and procedures of the Ambulance Department and MCRHC. The role maintains the highest possible standards to provide the highest level of care and treatment to patients using the ambulance service. Hours: All Hours Shift: All Shifts Pay: $15.64 per hour, increases with experience. Position Qualifications Education Current BLS Certificate Experience Previous healthcare or ambulance experience preferred Special Skills & Aptitudes Must be 21 years of age. Current state driver’s license in good standing and insurable. Satisfactory driving record in accordance with the MCEMS Driving Policy. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care. Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence. Ensure that all required certifications are current and remain current. Attend all MCEMS required OSHA training, annual training, and all mandatory company updates. Complete the training in the allotted time the company sets. Maintain knowledge about job and medical field.
