Description/Notes:
Primary Purpose: Direct and manage maintenance and district’s custodial operations and procedures. Maintain a physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that facilities are fully utilized for their intended educational purpose. Provide students with a physical learning environment that is safe, clean, attractive, and functional. Manage maintenance staff, budget for preventative maintenance, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of basic principles of construction, school plant maintenance, and custodial operations
Strong comprehensive technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
Ability to develop and manage budget
Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance and custodial personnel
Ability to design and execute preventative maintenance programs and long range facility plans
Ability to coordinate district functions
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Three years’ supervisory experience in maintenance operations
Five years’ experience in maintaining a large plant or building Salary Range:
$115,448 to $161,754 Per Year
