NDT Level 2 Inspector / Non-Destructive Testing Technician Level IIWe are seeking a highly skilled and certified NDT Level 2 for Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle Testing (UT/MT) Inspector to perform non-destructive testing and inspection activities across various projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections using multiple NDT methods, ensuring compliance with industry standards, specifications, and safety protocols. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in field environments while maintaining the highest quality standards.Under Socotec Engineering Inc (SEI), the Level II technician will be assigned appropriate non-destructive test equipment for which he is responsible for maintaining. The Level II tech will go to assigned projects and perform required testing. Results will be reported to SEI. Projects will include a diverse range of types including commercial, residential, industrial, and transportation. Projects will be located in the NY Greater Metro Area however some travel may be required. The technician is responsible for maintaining hours and certifications required to perform testing.Key responsibilities include performing non-destructive testing inspections using Level II certified methods including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Visual Testing (VT). The technician will conduct field testing and obtain representative samples for laboratory analysis and verification. They will verify conformance of materials, components, and assemblies to project specifications, codes, and industry standards. The technician will operate, calibrate, and maintain NDT inspection equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols. They will interpret test results and prepare detailed inspection reports with accurate documentation of findings. The technician will review and evaluate inspection data to identify defects, discontinuities, and non-conformances. They will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve inspection issues. The technician will ensure all inspection activities comply with applicable codes, standards (ASTM, ASME, AWS, etc.), and client requirements. They will maintain inspection records, certifications, and calibration documentation. The technician will participate in pre-inspection planning meetings and provide technical recommendations. They will train and provide guidance to NDT Level I technicians as needed. The technician will work with SEI's Level III Technician to obtain company certification. They will adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of workplace safety.QualificationsCertifications (Must Have): Candidates MUST be Certified Level II UT (Ultrasonic Testing) and MT (Magnetic Particle Testing) technicians.
