Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Kansas physical therapy license or compact-eligible license required to start the assignment. Candidate must be licensed in the state of assignment prior to start.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required prior to start.
• Experience working in acute care or hospital settings preferred. Include experience with mobility training, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team communication.
• Documentation proficiency with electronic medical records is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with post-operative orthopedics, neurologic diagnoses, or inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
• Additional certifications such as CPR instructor, vestibular training, or manual therapy are a plus.

• Shift Hours: 0800-1700.
• Shift Name: Days.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions in an acute hospital environment. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to create safe discharge plans and support functional recovery. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives that impact patient outcomes.
