MRI Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Tech to our team to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images. Minimum Requirements Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required upon start. BLS certification required upon start. Minimum 1.5 years of MRI technologist experience; experience with inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations preferred. Experience operating GE 450W and GE Signa Excite scanners preferred. Ability to perform a full spectrum of MRI studies. No cardiac MRI performed onsite. Familiarity with EPIC charting preferred. Willingness to adhere to unit scrub color policy (black). Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Shift: Mid Shift, Mid 5x8-Hour schedule. Typical shift times: 13:30–22:00. Weekly shift distribution example: Tues & Thursday 13:30–22:00; Wed & Fri 14:30–22:00; Sat 07:30–18:00. Manager is flexible on schedule; discuss during interview. Case volume: Approximately 15 cases per day. On-call expectation: one 8.5-hour day per week and one 24-hour weekend every five weeks. Block scheduling may be an option; discuss during interview. Somerville is about 30 miles from New York City, with NJ Transit rail service available in nearby towns offering commute options to Manhattan and Newark. The town sits within driving distance of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes) and is near the Somerset County Park System, including Colonial Park and Duke Island Park, offering trails and riverfront access for an active lifestyle. Local attractions include the historic Somerville Theater and nearby Raritan River waterfront dining within a short drive, which support a relaxed suburban lifestyle with convenient access to urban amenities.
