About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience, preferably with electrophysiology experience. License: Any state RN license accepted. Can apply for temporary license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Cardiac cath lab experience over 1 year - Electrophysiology experience preferred - Experience with EPIC and MacLab - Proven skills in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced and high acuity cath lab. The nurse will perform advanced practice cardiac cath and peripheral angiography as well as electrophysiologic studies and therapeutic interventional procedures. The role includes providing peri-procedural care and education for patients. There will be assistance to cardiologists and other specialists during diagnostic and interventional procedures. The nurse will maintain accurate records and documentation for all procedures conducted. The cath lab operates with a daily patient census of approximately 15-25 and tends to see about 20 patients across labs each day. It encompasses two electrophysiology labs specializing in pacemaker devices, ablations, and ICD insertions, in addition to four cath labs. Structural heart procedures are also a part of the offerings, including Watchman’s, TAVR, and MitraClips. The position requires participation in on-call rotations, including mandatory call shifts and weekend coverage.
