Join BAC as a Lean Manufacturing Line Lead and turn strategy into execution on the shop floor. You’ll coordinate people, materials, and methods to meet daily production targets while advancing long-range improvements—all aligned to our values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation.

Impact you will make

• Safety leadership: model safe behaviors, enforce PPE, and ensure every task is risk-aware.
• Standard work champion: train operators, audit adherence, and close gaps.
• Manpower optimization: flex resources to keep the line on pace with plan.
• Continuous improvement: evaluate equipment and methods; eliminate waste with LEAN and 5S.

• Material readiness: partner with the Material Coordinator to protect the schedule.
• Problem solving: conduct root cause analysis with the Lean Tech and drive corrective actions.
• Safe lifting: operate jib and overhead cranes to maneuver components.
• Talent development: coach junior mechanics toward expert proficiency.
• Communication: maintain clear, open dialogue and guidance across the department.
• Performance management: meet/exceed shift production goals and update metrics.
• Quality stewardship: uphold process and quality standards without compromise.
• People care: counsel and provide corrective/supportive feedback when standards slip.
• Business continuity: cover alternate shifts as needed; back up the Team Lead.
• Sustainability: reduce waste, energy consumption, and water usage on the line.
• Innovation: translate original ideas into better processes, systems, or services.
• Administration: assist with quarterly objectives, annual reviews, training via the Skills Matrix, and detailed accident investigations.

What you need to succeed

• Supervisory experience leading small teams; strong delegation and follow-through.
• Independent, sound judgment and the initiative to act.
• Proven teamwork builder with scheduling agility.
• Product knowledge of BAC’s models and parts; understanding of plant IPI.
• Training/certification to operate overhead and JIB cranes.
• Professional English communication—written procedures, concise emails, and clear verbal briefings.
• Group presentation skills and technical accuracy when speaking with customers or peers.
• Lean/5S fluency and familiarity with ISO procedures for quality.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and SAP; ability to update data and generate preformatted metrics in Excel.
• Comfort working with engineers and initiating engineering change requests.

Proficiency expected: Supervisory Experience and Manufacturing Environment experience.

While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk up to 80% of the time. Employee will also be required to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, sit and reach on a regular basis during a normal working shift This position requires frequent lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposures include elevated noise levels associated with a manufacturing environment, fluctuations in temperature ambient conditions as well as intermittent exposure to the weather in and about the yard and dock areas. Working hours can include any of three shifts and generally are scheduled for forty hours a week. Some weekend overtime is to be expected.

The noise level in the work environment is usually high and hearing protection is required. Eye protection, gloves, hearing protection and safety shoes must be worn at all times. Good plant safety practices will be required. Individual will be working in an environment that includes occasional exposure to the elements, inclement weather, working in confined spaces, and heights.
