Clinical Support Specialist

Position Summary Full time (1.0 FTE) M-F. Provides office support for schedule optimization, to the suite and department. Interacts with patients, fellow co-workers and providers in a positive and professional manner. Ensures all patient and departmental needs are met. This position is responsible for managing vacation requests, daily schedule changes, and patient outreach. The Specialist generates reports to support operational initiatives, practice performance improvements, and scheduling optimization while adhering to Highland Health’s ICARE values. This role requires self-direction, complex decision-making, and collaborative support to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care delivery. Essential Job Functions Liaison to Practice Administration, scheduling staff, and Cadance staff for HFM provider scheduling issues Balance practice schedule factoring provider availability, suite loading, and staff availability Clinic schedule preparations, including but not limited to, optimizing provider patient schedule, patient outreach and information/data support. Supports operational efforts for improved performance, newinitiatives. Salary Range $19.63 - $26.00 an hour The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Associates degree preferred. Experience: 1 year in a medical practice required. Cadence and scheduling experience preferred. Computer experience; knowledge of large practice operations, preferably in a residency-training program; medical terminology; understanding of productivity standards and quality assurance activities. License/Certification: Preferred Notary. Skills: Computer experience in MS Word and Excel: excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Cadence and; touch typing ability.
