Applications Engineer

Responsibilities Permanent position for an Applications Engineer to provide technical support to sales and customers. Provide support to Manufacturing and Engineering. Apply engineering solutions to technical issues. Ensure that cable designs adhere to pertinent specifications, codes, and client prerequisites. Create and assess reports and studies that fulfill client specifications. Present technical information. Perform engineering calculations, including impedance, ampacity, conductor short circuit currents, etc. Travel to customer sites to deliver technical presentations about cable products. Test and qualify cables. Attend engineering conferences. Qualifications BS Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 of experience with wire and cable product applications. Experience delivering technical presentations. Ability to work independently and within teams. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Experience with MS Office 365 suite of tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with industry standards, including NEC, IEEE, NEC, UL, ICEA, etc. Knowledge of three-phase power systems. Familiarity with the utility and industrial fields. #J-18808-Ljbffr
