Fertitta Family College of Medicine at the University of Houston. Job Summary Perform phlebotomy procedures for collection of blood samples. Demonstrate competency via direct observation and assessment for the following procedures: venipuncture, blood culture collection for bottles or isolator tubes, age‑specific skills. Accurately identify patients and collect correct specimens. Achieve productivity standards. Maintain specimen integrity by collecting and transporting specimens in a timely manner. Accurately perform assignments in registration and accessioning. Utilize all equipment and supplies in a manner that ensures safety to patients, co‑workers, and self. Minimum Qualifications School Education: H.S. Diploma or GED Licenses & Certifications: Certified Phlebotomist or eligible preferred Work Experience: One (1) year experience preferred Proficiencies: P.C.
