About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting and Finance to serve as its lead financial executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a high-volume accounting operation, managing a significant operating budget, and leading all financial aspects for the organization's various entities. This includes maintaining sound accounting procedures, leading the monthly close and annual audit, preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, and managing cash flow and investments. The role demands a dynamic individual who can work independently to ensure the integrity of financial information, identify and investigate trends, and streamline workflows. The VP will also be expected to preserve the trust in the finance team, provide stability during the transition, and make the budget more accessible at the program level. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting and Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with at least 10 years' of progressive experience, including a minimum of 5 years' in a leadership role. Experience in nonprofit, association, or healthcare finance is preferred. The role requires hands-on experience in monthly close, annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, as well as proficiency in financial accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. The VP will also be involved in supporting various departments in financial matters and must be adept at managing relationships with external entities.
