The Medical Receptionist Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy clinical environment by managing patient scheduling, handling reception duties, and supporting clinic operations. Working within a medium-sized team of 6-15 members and reporting directly to the Office Manager, this role involves regular patient interaction and requires proficiency with specialized medical software to maintain accuracy and efficiency in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
• Perform reception duties including greeting and assisting patients
• Maintain and update medical records accurately
• Verify patient insurance information
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments and billing
• Assist with data entry and billing processes
• Support clinic operations and administrative tasks
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical reception or medical assistance
• Certificate or diploma in Medical Reception or Medical Assistance
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficiency in patient scheduling and electronic health records (EHR)
• Experience with insurance verification and appointment coordination
• Strong multitasking and communication skills
• Excellent customer service and record-keeping abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
