Ourclient,awell-establishedArizona-basedcommercialelectricalcontractor,isseekingaremoteElectricalEstimatortosupportagrowingestimatingteam.ReportingdirectlytotheDirectorofEstimating,youwillpreparefullestimatesofcommercialelectricalprojectsunderspecificdeadlines,includingcostanalysisforconstructionprojects,quantitytakeoffs,vendorandsubcontractorpricing,changeorderpricing,andmaintenanceofestimatingfilesandthehistoricalcostdatabase. Therolesuitsadetail-drivenestimatorwhoiscomfortableowningtheaccuracyofanumber,communicatesclearlyacrosstimezones,andflagsriskearly.Youwillmanagemultipleprojectsatoncewhilekeepingahighleveloforganization. Key Responsibilities Estimate Preparation Preparefullestimatesandcostanalysesforcommercialelectricalconstructionprojectsunderdeadline. Createconceptualestimateswithminimalinformationtoassistandguideclientsearlyinaproject. Identifytheexpensesrelatedtoelectricalapplications. Pricing, Vendors & Trade Partners Solicitandreviewpricingfromvendorsandsubcontractors. Identifyandcoordinateelectricaltradepartnersthroughouttheplanningphase. Scope, Value Engineering & Change Orders Conductreviewsofmilestonedocumentstoidentifychangesinworkscopeanddeveloppricingofvaluealternativeopportunities. Assistfieldoperationswithchangeorderpricing. Data, Files & Estimating Systems Helpmanagetheelectricalestimatingprocessandcreateelectricalestimatingdatabases. Collectandorganizeallbidinformationforinputintothehistoricalcostdatabaseplatform. Maintainestimatingcomputerfiles. Required Qualifications 2–3yearsofelectricalestimatingexperienceoncommercialprojects. Proficiencyinelectricalestimatingsoftwaresystems. Strongknowledgeofelectricalsystems,plans,andterminology. Excellentmathematicalskillsandorganizationalabilities. Effectivecommunicationwithvendors,customers,fieldpersonnel,andcolleagues. ProficiencyinMicrosoftOffice. Preferred Qualifications Experienceonprojectsrangingfrom$1millionandlarger(candidateswithstrongexperienceonsmallerprojectsarealsoencouragedtoapply). Bluebeamproficiency.
