Goldbelt Glacier is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas.The Financial Manager provides financial readiness counseling, education, and support to New Hampshire National Guard Service Members and their Families. This position provides individualized financial planning and develops and delivers financial readiness programs addressing budgeting, debt management, military benefits, retirement planning, deployment finances, and long-term financial goals.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Provide individualized financial counseling and education to Service Members, spouses, and Families.Develop household budgets, debt management strategies, savings plans, and long-term financial goals.Advise clients on military pay, entitlements, benefits, retirement, TSP, Social Security, and education benefits.Provide financial readiness briefings for new recruits, deploying units, retirees, and other designated groups.Provide specialized counseling regarding the financial impacts of military mobilization on Federal Technician and civilian employment, including USERRA, military leave, FEHB, and TRICARE.Develop educational materials and financial readiness content, including retirement and benefit resources and videos.Participate in two annual retirement seminars and provide deployment-related financial readiness briefings as requested.Maintain accurate, confidential client records and comply with applicable privacy and program requirements.Coordinate with NHNG leadership and other readiness professionals to support holistic Service Member and Family readiness.Support outreach activities and promote available financial readiness services to geographically dispersed Service Members and Families.QualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:Financial planning, budgeting, debt management, retirement planning, and investment principles.Knowledge of military pay, benefits, entitlements, TSP, Social Security, and Federal retirement programs.Knowledge of financial considerations associated with military deployment and mobilization.Strong presentation, counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with Service Members and Families while maintaining confidentiality.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Minimum Qualifications:Personnel shall possess a current Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.Minimum 5 years of professional financial planning, counseling, or related experience.Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials and complete applicable background screening.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and successfully complete the required background investigation and security screeningPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Pay and Benefits At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
