Project Engineer - Space Systems - Oceaneering

Key Responsibilities Develop and validate survival and thermal system designs for crewed spacecraft, ensuring compliance with NASA JETS II requirements. Perform thermal analyses, heat‑transfer calculations, and model simulations using MATLAB/Simulink and specialized tools. Create and maintain detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, supporting cross‑functional hardware integration. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and NASA stakeholders to manage technical interfaces and resolve design issues. Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and documentation for reviews, audits, and certification processes. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in systems or thermal engineering for aerospace or high‑reliability applications. Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) and thermal analysis tools (MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS). Demonstrated ability to manage projects, adhere to NASA standards, and deliver technical documentation.
