Forklift Operator Department: Shipping & Receiving Employment Type: Full Time Location: City of Industry, CA Reporting To: Alan Leal Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 / hour Description There’s a reason Trinidad Benham is recognized as a leader in our industry. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Forklift operators move our product - whether it's loading or unloading product for transportation, wrapping finished product, or moving product around the facility. Forklift operators must be safety-minded and have good attention to detail. Operates a gas or electric forklift in warehouse. Performs daily forklift inspections while adhering to established safety procedures. Moves bulk from rail receiving scales using metal bins and/or totes to warehouse racks or bulk storage areas according to bulk map or shipping schedule. Operate rail receiving equipment (elevators, scales, etc) Maintains clean and organized bulk receiving area, aisles or racks storage, consolidates partial pallets when needed. Weights, Labels, transport and stage any bulk is being received. Responsible for maintaining receiving areas clean and organized. Complete rail/truck receiving related paperwork accurately and on time. Safely moved and place rail cars on train tracks. Cut truck/railcar seals and report any discrepancy. WHAT WE NEED EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: High School Diploma or equivalent required 1+ years recent experience operating sit down and stand up reach forklift Minimum of 2 years or more of related experience in manufacturing preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment Ability to perform basic math skills Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel. Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed. Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
