Details Mixed acuity Med/Surg Tele unit combining PCU and MS patients Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, reviewed every 4-week scheduling period with no guaranteed consistency Patient ratio of 1:5 Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level Uses EPIC EMR Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with current acute care experience in the specialty within the last 12 months EPIC charting experience required Skills required include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy care/management Additional preferred skills include chemotherapy administration and BiPAP/CPAP management Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management experience required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or director and no coworker references accepted Additional Information Oncology experience preferred but not required Willingness to learn and grow nursing practice valued; previous travel experience preferred but not required Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon signing contract due to strict compliance timelines Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible for travel assignments RTO must be requested and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-750315.
