Shift Details

Shift: 7 AM - 5 PM

Unit Information

Unit: OR Heart Team

  • Number of Beds: Various across 3 campuses
  • Number of Staff: 15 cardiovascular staff members
  • Staff Type:

    • Day Shift: Teams of 3 (2 RNs and 1 CST Tech)
    • Night Shift: Teams of 2 (1 RN and 1 CST Tech)
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Type of Equipment: GE/Stryker
  • Electronic Medical Records: Meditech / CPNT
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of current acute care cardiovascular operating room tech experience
  • BLS, DORA, and NBSTA Certifications (must be current and in hand)
  • Proficient in Open Heart procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Meditech experience
  • Previous experience traveling as a CVOR Tech in large trauma facilities
  • Cardiovascular experience
Typical Procedures
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
  • Valve replacements

Ideal Candidate

The best candidate will be flexible, confident, and a team player. Patient experience and effective communication with staff and providers are of utmost importance.

Unit Guidelines

Candidates may be required to float within 25 miles of the facility as needed. Call requirements will vary based on need and staffing; specific details will be discussed during the interview process.
