Staff Tax AccountantThis staff tax accountant position is an entry level role with the corporate income tax department.How You Will Create the ExtraordinaryWorks with the Tax Senior(s)/Manager(s) on the quarterly and annual tax provisions for the SEC and other statutory filingsPreparation of consolidated federal income tax return including forms 5471 and other foreign related filings, state income or franchise tax returns, and annual reports for states or citiesPrepares tax journal entries to be booked in the G/L system relating to the monthly, quarterly and annual tax provisions and for federal and/or state tax payments or refunds, as well as assisting in the maintenance and reconciliation of the tax accounts.Assists in documentation of Tax Department's compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley/404Preparation of the quarterly federal and/or state estimated tax paymentsAssists other members of the Corporate Tax Department with any IRS or state audits or other mattersExecutes tax policies and works with personnel at Caesars' properties to ensure tax policies and procedures are being followed on specific tax mattersPromotes and maintains a cooperative relationship with other departments and divisions of the company to achieve satisfaction of organizational objectives and goalsConducts research to identify planning opportunities, develop strategies to address such opportunities, and then implement the strategies to maximize tax benefitsParticipates in due diligence related to acquisitions, including identifying tax return filing requirements or issues to be considered in connection with such transactionsAttends external meetings, seminars, webcasts, etc. to increase/maintain technical tax knowledgeAttends internal meetings to increase/maintain understanding of company procedures and their tax implicationsWhat You Will NeedBachelors Degree in Accounting with an emphasis in TaxLicensed Certified Public Accountant in one or more jurisdictions (or in the process of obtaining a CPA license) preferredMasters in Taxation preferredMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have good organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritize competing tasks, anticipate resource needs, and meet deadlinesMust have strong team-building and interpersonal relationship skillsMicrosoft Excel skills requiredAbout UsAt Caesars Entertainment, Inc., our Team Members create the extraordinary.
