Summary for Director of Surgical Services - Morton Plant Hospital:

• Participates in planning, policy development and priority setting. Ensures that surgical services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system.

• Ensures compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards.

• Maintains a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO) and established national standards of care.

• Collaborates with other directors, administrators, medical staff and other departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost effective manner.

• Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education equivalent experience:

• Required - Bachelors - Nursing or related field

• Preferred - Masters - Nursing or related field

Credentials:

• Required - Registered Nurse (RN)

• Preferred - Cert Operating Room Nurse (CNOR)

Experience:

• Required - Management experience
