This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who enjoys working in a skilled nursing environment and values a collaborative, patient‑centered approach to care. What You’ll Do Evaluate residents and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans Provide skilled therapy interventions focused on mobility, strength, balance, endurance, pain management, and functional independence Supervise and collaborate with PTA staff as appropriate Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Educate residents, families, and staff regarding mobility, safety, transfers, and therapeutic exercises Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate equipment and services to support safe transitions What We’re Looking For Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Active Rhode Island Physical Therapist license (or eligibility) Long‑term care or geriatric experience preferred (not required) Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills Passion for resident‑centered care and functional outcomes Why People Join (and Stay) This is a stable rehab environment where your clinical judgment is respected, your contributions are valued, and your work directly improves resident quality of life.
