Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Family, Population and Preventive Medicine: Nutrition The Clinical Instructor is a full-time faculty position responsible for supporting academic, clinical, research, and community-based nutrition initiatives within the Division of Nutrition. This role includes active participation in the Dietetic Internship (DI) program through recruitment, admissions, teaching, evaluation, and precepting of interns, as well as providing didactic and experiential instruction within the MS in Professional Nutrition Practice program. The incumbent will deliver outpatient medical nutrition therapy services to students, contribute to research activities including study design and data analysis, and collaborate on controlled feeding studies. Additionally, the position involves co‑management of the Stony Brook Heights Rooftop Farm, including operational oversight, volunteer coordination, fundraising, and community and patient education. The Clinical Instructor will also support division‑wide initiatives such as quality improvement projects, marketing, social media engagement, and website management, while leveraging clinical expertise in both inpatient and outpatient nutrition care. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Master of Science (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nutrition, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) Experience in operations of a dietetic internship, such as a Dietetic Internship Coordinator Experience in providing outpatient nutrition therapy Proficiency in conducting nutrition‑focused physical examinations in an inpatient population Horticulture experience, specifically managing a micro‑farm Experience with managing continuous quality improvement projects, including proficiency with Excel to collect and analyze data Preferred Qualifications: Experience with website design Experience with maintaining social media platforms Experience teaching online graduate courses Special Notes Non‑Tenure Track position.
