About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Finance & Accounting to join their executive leadership team. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic business partner, with primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance department, including planning, implementing, and controlling finance, accounting, tax, and cash-related activities. This role requires a strong technical background in fund, property, and corporate accounting/finance, as well as the ability to work closely with the business's investment partner to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders. The Vice President will also be involved in significant transactions, oversee the internal and external reporting processes, and manage 3rd party service providers. Applicants for the Vice President, Finance & Accounting position at the company should have an undergraduate accounting degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and a CPA certification. A background in public accounting/audit, internal controls, and commercial real estate is essential, with experience in self-storage or development being a plus. The role demands a proven track record of effective leadership, the ability to work collaboratively across departmental lines, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing a team, as well as being adept at problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
