This full-time, contract-to-hire position is ideal for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about providing direct services across several district buildings in the Shelton area. As part of a dynamic special education team, your expertise will make a difference throughout the school year and potentially beyond.

Utilize your skills to support students’ growth, collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary staff, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Washington State COTA license in good standing
  • Active NBCOT certification
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel between multiple school sites during the week
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and the needs of K–12 special education populations is an asset
  • Full availability for on-site work, Monday–Friday, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and support staff to deliver services to K–12 students district-wide
  • Implement OT treatment plans focused on skill development, adaptive functioning, and participation in daily school routines
  • Document student progress and communicate effectively with the education team and families
  • Maintain compliance with special education regulations and timelines
