Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Spokane, WA. This position involves providing high-quality care in a Level II Trauma Center's Labor and Delivery department. The role requires flexibility to float between units as needed, with responsibilities tailored to high-risk obstetric patients and maternal emergencies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington (WA) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission). A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or related obstetric settings. Certifications include ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level II Trauma facility with high-risk obstetric cases such as pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, VBAC/TOLAC, and maternal emergencies.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a short-term acute care facility with approximately 200-300 facility births per month. Responsibilities include managing high-risk deliveries, use of intrauterine pressure catheters, maintaining central lines, administering medications like magnesium sulfate and insulin, and assisting with delivery procedures including C-sections. Coordination with interdisciplinary teams such as IV, respiratory, and pharmacy is essential, along with adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
