Multi‑Skilled Journalist – 9NEWS, Denver, Colorado TEGNA’s 9NEWS in Denver is looking for an experienced journalist who can produce compelling daily content for our broadcast and digital platforms. Responsibilities Pitch enterprise and promotable stories for a morning viewer, with elements that can be teased throughout the morning. Turn content to meet daily broadcast and digital platform deadlines, including web articles and mobile short video. Develop contacts and sources within Colorado communities. Effectively develop stories and vet information. Provide streaming digital assignments as needed. Contribute vertical content for the app and on‑air. Requirements Journalism or communications degree is preferred. Three to five years of daily local newsgathering experience required. Proficiency in shooting, writing and editing video using non‑linear video editing software. Strong command of writing clean broadcast and digital copy and thorough understanding of effective and ethical newsgathering principles. Strong on‑air presentation skills, able to speak smoothly during live coverage, including unscripted breaking news. Application deadline: June 16, 2026. Compensation Pay range: $33.65 – $43.26 USD, final salary based on experience.
