Yotes Up!” Position Overview The Varsity Girls Basketball Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of running the varsity-level program. This role provides instruction, motivation, and mentorship to student-athletes, ensuring a positive and competitive experience. Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Coach with practices, game preparation, and in-game management. Provide individualized coaching and support to players. Help reinforce team rules, discipline, and sportsmanship. Monitor academic progress and AIA eligibility. Support program logistics including equipment, scheduling, and communication. Step into leadership responsibilities when the Head Coach is unavailable. Qualifications Prior coaching or competitive playing experience preferred. Knowledge of the sport and AIA standards.
