About the Position

Job Title: RN for Surgery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgery Duration: Full-time Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Experience with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience with robotic surgeries using Da Vinci and Mako robots - Experience in various surgical cases including orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, general surgery, cesarean sections, ENT, colonoscopy, and EGDs - Willingness to take call one day per week from 5 PM to 6 AM and approximately one weekend per month with 24-hour call Description: This position involves providing nursing care in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Candidates should have strong experience in performing preop assessments and providing care during surgeries. The shift typically starts between 6 AM to 7 AM and concludes around 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Experience with robotic surgeries is essential, particularly with the Da Vinci and Mako systems. The role requires proficiency in handling a diverse range of surgical cases, including but not limited to general surgery and orthopedics. Nurses will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Participation in after-hours call duties is required for this role.
