Role Description The Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Plano, TX, providing direct patient care across urgent care, primary care, and preventive services. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. The role involves performing routine procedures within scope of practice, prescribing medications, providing patient education and counseling, and coordinating care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The Nurse Practitioner will document clinical encounters in the electronic medical record, support quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas and national board certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP, or equivalent). Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice). Clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, or family practice settings, including management of acute and chronic conditions. Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and development of evidence-based care plans. Ability to perform common office-based procedures appropriate to scope of practice and setting. Strong skills in patient communication, education, and counseling, with a focus on preventive care and wellness. Comfort with using electronic medical records and modern clinical technology for documentation and care coordination. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and contribute to efficient clinical workflows. Commitment to equitable, inclusive, and culturally responsive patient care. Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
