Aitkin High School is looking for a Long Term English Substitute to teach grades 7-12 for the 2026-2026 School Year.

Position Details

Assignment Dates: Mid-November 2026 through Mid-February 2027
Location: Aitkin High School, 306 2nd St. NW, Aitkin, MN 56431
Grade Levels: 7th Grade, 10th Grade, and 9-12 English Elective Courses

License Requirement

Applicants must hold one of the following Minnesota teaching licenses:

7-12 English/Language Arts
5-12 Communication Arts/Literature

Job Description

Aitkin Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered English teacher to serve as a long term substitute during the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate must be able to work with students in grades 7-12 and build positive relationships while supporting student learning and engagement.

For this assignment, the teacher will be responsible for all 7th grade English classes, a 10th grade English class, and a couple elective classes
