Patient Care Technician - Outpatient Dialysis

Bellingham & Ferndale, WA clinics

Schedule overview: PCTs work 3-4 days/week rotating between Monday-Saturday. The clinic is closed on Sunday. Shifts are 8-12 hours long scheduled in advance, and the incoming PCT will work a mix of opening and closing shifts. Opening shifts begin as early as 5am, and closing shifts end as late as 11pm.

Support Staff: At our Bellingham location the PCT works alongside 5 other PCTs and 2 RNs. The Ferndale clinic operates with 1 RN & 1 PCT.

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you'll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
• Record vital signs and patient data
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development ("GED") credential, or equivalent
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
