Cottage Health seeks a Vaccinator for their CH Employee Health and Safety department responsible for administering COVID-19 vaccinations to patients and documenting the administration in the patient record. Major accountabilities include:

• Find the patient in the Rover handheld device connected to Epic to confirm patient has appointment. Confirm that adequate and accurate information is being retained and document medication information (brand, lot number, etc.).
• Administer vaccination and sign off on administration.

Qualifications:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:

• Minimum: Graduate of an applicable program to allow individual to achieve California clinical license listed below or semester 3 or 4 nursing student or graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Minimum: Any California licensed practitioner qualified and approved by their governing body to provide vaccines: Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Pharmacist, Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Respiratory Therapist, Licensed Psychiatric Tech, EMT/Paramedic/Medical Assistant with vaccination training, Dentist, etc., or Semester 3 or 4 nursing student or graduate from an accredited nursing program, and AHA BLS. Licensed Vocational Nurses, EMT/Paramedic/Medical Assistants, and nursing students may administer vaccinations only under supervision of a physician or similar personnel authorized by the CDC.

Technical Requirements:

• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.
