Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Manual Machinist at our Zelienople, PA facility. This position performs measuring operations within the scope of operations for all equipment. We need someone with a solid mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, with the ability to proficiently read detailed drawings, blueprints, machining procedures, and shop travelers. This team member will work M-F 6:00am-2:30pm and will report directly to the Machine Shop Group Leader.

Responsibilities

· Review project assignments/instructions from Team Leader.
· Review drawings and machining requirements for this job.
· Obtain an understanding of the task and develop an action plan.
· Set up lathe machines, Keyseater machines, milling machines, saws, drill presses and I.D. grinders, as well as any other required equipment.
· Supervise machines and make any adjustments to produce better results.
· Ensure work meets quality standards.
· Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes.
· Practice safety in all aspects of the job.
· Look for any safety issues with equipment and/or processes.
· Participate in safety improvement programs.

Qualifications

· A combination of training and machining experience is required for this position.
· High School diploma or GED required.
· The ability to read and understand Robinson's detailed drawings, blueprints, machining procedures, and shop travelers.
· Advanced math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
· Ability and willingness to learn CNC programming.
· Ability to work the second shift when needed.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· The ability to use all Robinson Machine Shop equipment such as, tools, measuring equipment, and cranes.
· Basic computer skills to enter job logs and job information into Epicor.
· Well-organized and able to effectively multi-task, prioritize.
· Sense of initiative and proactiveness
· Willingness to learn and cross-train in other departments
· Attention to detail
· Ability to accept feedback and adapt to change
· Creative and resourceful when problem-solving

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, wear safety boots, hear safety alarms and climb ladders.
