We work in a highly dynamic environment where collaboration and idea sharing are a way of life.ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Director of Global Supply Chain to join our rapidly growing team supporting the Dive-XL Product. In this role, based in Costa Mesa, CA, you will be responsible for building and leading the supply chain function, ensuring material, capacity, and supplier readiness are in place ahead of every rate increase, every new product version, at all global production sites. You will set the multi-year strategy for how the function evolves, spanning org design, process architecture, systems roadmap, and talent, while staying close enough to the work to personally unblock the hardest constraints and represent supply chain credibly to executive leadership. This will require deep expertise in strategic sourcing, production planning, supplier development, and supply chain systems architecture, along with a proven track record of scaling operations across global manufacturing sites. You will own the outcome end to end.WHAT YOU’LL DOFurther Deepen & Stand Up Undersea Dominance Supply Chain FunctionBuild an integrated, resilient supply chain that supports product development, production ramp,sustained manufacturing, customer delivery, supplier quality, inventory performance, and total cost ofownership.Build the integrated plan for standing up the function: phased by production milestone, with entry andexit criteria, named owners, and hard dates. Work backward from production start and each rate stepto define required readiness in people, process, systems, supplier qualification, and inventory position.Develop and establish demand and S&OP process/governance.Own the risk register, dependency map, and critical path, along with the governance around them:readiness and gate reviews, plus an executive cadence that gives leadership real status withoutgenerating theater.Write the operating model: planning cadences, material call and shortage escalation, receiving andinspection flow, kitting and line-feed, cycle counting, change control, and decision rights for each.Own the capital, tooling, and infrastructure requests supply chain depends on (storage footprint,material handling, receiving and inspection capacity), sequenced against facility construction.Partner and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Program Management,and Business Development across global suppliers and manufacturing sites.Drive Material and Supplier ReadinessDrive supplier readiness with Sourcing, Product Sourcing Engineering, and Supplier Quality:qualification, capacity reservation, tooling, and dual-source coverage completed ahead of need dates,not in parallel with production.Own the readiness sequence for manufacturing BOM release, including BOM risk assessment andalternate component strategy for constrained and long-lead parts.Define and drive the metrics that matter: clear-to-build, material availability, schedule attainment,supplier on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy. Hold the team to root-causing misses rather thanexpediting around them.Serve as the senior supply chain voice at the site. Own executive relationships across Sourcing,Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, and Deployment Ops, and translate material shortages, capacitylimits, and supplier risk into clear recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.Turn the Startup into a Day-to-Day OperationConvert the standup effort into a durable operating function — replace one-off heroics and manualworkarounds with standard cadences, documented processes, and clear decision rights that runwithout you in the room.Build and scale the team as headcount ramps: hire and develop planners, buyers, and materialleaders; design the org structure the site grows into; and create a culture that retains strong operators.Mature the systems backbone so the function runs on reliable data rather than spreadsheets — standup and stabilize ERP/MRP and planning tooling as volume and product mix grow.Institutionalize continuous improvement: establish the metrics, reviews, and root-cause discipline thatlet the function keep pace with each rate increase and every new product family, and shift the teamfrom firefighting to steady-state execution.Identify and mitigate global supply risks; drive shortage resolution, continuity plans, supplierdiversification, and production readiness.Lead Sourcing Engineering and supplier development, including supplier technical readiness,qualification, capacity planning, quality, delivery, and recovery.Partner with Design Engineering to integrate supplier capacity, manufacturability, and sourcingconsiderations into new product development.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or related professional experience.and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.15+ years in supply chain, materials management, planning, or manufacturing operations in a hardware or manufacturing environment, including 8+ years managing people and at least 3 years managing managers or leading a multi-team function.Demonstrated leadership of demand and supply planning, S&OP, supplier development, procurement, sourcing engineering, and material control in a global manufacturing environment.Proven results in supplier performance, cost, inventory, delivery, organizational development, and cross-functional transformation.You've built and scaled an organization, not just a team: hiring senior talent, developing managers, designing structure, and creating a culture that retains strong operators.You've owned S&OP or an equivalent enterprise planning process end to end, with real accountability for material availability and schedule attainment.You think in systems and have deep operational instincts. You understand how upstream decisions in engineering, product, and sourcing cascade into downstream materials, manufacturing, and fulfillment outcomes. You can decompose an ambiguous, high-stakes supply problem and drive it to resolutionfast.You're data-driven and systems-fluent across ERP/MRP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning tools, and you can partner credibly with technical teams to improve tooling — while knowing when a spreadsheet is the right answer.Experience with complex electronic/electromechanical products, contract manufacturers, NPI, and production scale-up.Knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARs, as applicable.Strong executive presence, high ownership, low ego. You align senior stakeholders, communicate trade-offs crisply, hold your ground with data, and value results over credit.Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBA or relevant Master's Degree; CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM Certification.Experience leading supply chain in a high-growth hardware, aerospace, or defense environment.Experience scaling from low-rate to high-rate production, including capacity and footprint planning.Track record of standing up or rebuilding a supply chain function and its supporting systems from the ground up.Experience with a multi-product portfolio with shared supply and constrained long-lead materials.Familiarity with defense program environments and contract-driven delivery commitments.US Salary Range$220,000—$292,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
