Substitute Teachers JobID: 11698 Position Type: Substitute / Substitute Teacher Date Posted: 5/19/2026 Location: District Effective: For the 2026-2027 School Year (first student day is August 24, 2026) Rate of Pay: $115 per day (0-30 days worked); $125 per day (31-60 days worked); $135 per day (61+ days worked). Additional $5 per day for substitutes who hold a MO Teaching Certificate. Qualifications: Substitutes & Instructional Assistants must be able to obtain a substitute teaching certificate through DESE. If you do not currently hold a certificate, we will help guide you through the process. A Content Substitute certificate is for individuals wishing to substitute teach in the K-12 classroom setting (elementary, middle/high school, special education, art, music, PE, etc.). It can be granted to those who have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, degree‑granting college or university. Verification of these hours must be provided with an original transcript from each institution attended. International transcripts are evaluated by an approved credentialing agency. Now, a Content Substitute certificate may also be granted to those who have completed a minimum of twenty (20) clock hours of department‑approved substitute teacher training.
