Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Trauma / Total Joint Replacement

SCHEDULE
Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Beds/Rooms: 36
Charting System: Epic
Travel Assignment

REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of RN experience
- Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience
- State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
- Required certification: BLS
- Additional certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience in trauma level I/II preferred

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic trauma and those undergoing total joint replacement.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data as necessary.
- Administer medications and manage patient care including IV starts and blood product administration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient care and recovery.
- Assist with pre/post-operative care and manage various treatments and therapies as required.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response and code teams as necessary.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Orientation/modules completed onsite
- Previous facility staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
