Global Accounting Operations Manager

About the Position Selig is seeking a dynamic Manager, Global Accounting Operations to lead and optimize centralized processes within a global shared services model. This role is responsible for overseeing core transactional accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related entries, cash flow forecasting and support for related controlled period-end close processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong foundation in transactional accounting, process improvement, and systems, with the ability to operate effectively across a global, multi-site organization. This individual will play a key role in advancing Selig’s shared services operating model and supporting continued growth across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Location and Relationships Based in Selig’s Schaumburg, Illinois office Direct Reporting Line: VP, Global Controller Position Responsibilities Lead the transition to and management of a centralized shared services function for core accounting areas, including AP, AR, payroll-related journal entries and support related reconciliations Continuously assess and improve accounting workflows to optimize service delivery, scalability, and internal control compliance Implement best practices across Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash cycles Lead cash flow forecasting, and connect to transactional functions Partner closely with IT and functional partners to support ERP system integration and automation Support the implementation of a scalable global accounting operating model Manage and develop a global team, fostering collaboration, professional development, and high performance Promote clear and consistent communication between global finance and business unit teams Deliver training and guidance to ensure consistent adoption of processes and tools Perform other duties, including ad-hoc special projects and financial analysis, as required Essential Skills and Characteristics Demonstrate the highest level of ethical and moral standards Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a global team Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manages priorities effectively Ability to work across multiple time zones, languages and cultures Strong teamwork and communication skills, both internally and externally Goal and results oriented, with high integrity and accountability Adapts well to change and implementing new technologies Identifies opportunities for optimization and champion change across the organization Proficient in the use of systems, including ERP systems, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience and Education 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in accounts receivable or accounts payable, with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), particularly AP, AR and related financial areas Experience with shared services models and centralization of accounting functions is highly preferred Experience in organizations demonstrating strong internal controls in a global environment Relevant accounting designation preferred – CPA, CMA or equivalent experience Degree in accounting or related field preferred Key Initiatives Support a global ERP Implementation and drive consistent best practices Execute shared services transition and process centralization Drive continuous improvement in team effectiveness, efficiency and internal controls #J-18808-Ljbffr Lucas James Talent Partners
