The facility provides diagnostic pathology services on an outpatient basis and maintains established protocols for specimen processing and diagnostic workflow management. The pathology department is supported by a team that includes a Pathologist Assistant, a Surgical Pathology Technician, and a Histology Supervisor to facilitate coordinated case processing. On-site locum tenens coverage is sought across three scheduled one-week periods spanning December, January, and February.

Chicago offers a range of cultural and recreational attractions suited to varied interests. Points of interest include the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, Navy Pier, and the Chicago Riverwalk. Annual events such as the Chicago Blues Festival and Chicago Theatre Week, along with destinations like Lincoln Park Zoo, provide additional options for clinicians on assignment throughout the year.

The anatomic and clinical pathologist will provide outpatient diagnostic pathology coverage on a day shift basis across three one-week assignment periods. Clinical responsibilities include surgical pathology sign-out, cytopathology, and blood bank case management, with a daily case volume of 25 cases. Grossing is required for this assignment; frozen sections are also required, though the locum clinician is not responsible for cutting frozen sections independently. No call coverage is associated with this assignment.
