Electrical Engineer II

Electrical Engineer IIWaters is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to play a key role in the support of liquid chromatography (LC) instrumentation used by scientists worldwide.In this role, you will provide technical input for our Continuing Engineering Electrical Engineering team, leading the design of high-performance analog and mixed-signal electronics that enable precise fluidics control, detection, and data integrity. You will guide complex development efforts from concept through production.We are looking for a hands-on technical contributor who is motivated to make an immediate impact on industry-leading LC platforms. You will be challenged to solve demanding engineering problems and manage multiple design projects to deploy elegant, scalable solutions.Join a world-class team of engineers at Waters who are advancing analytical science by building reliable, high-precision instruments that help scientists generate trusted data, make confident decisions, and push the boundaries of discovery.ResponsibilitiesManage electrical aspects of our LC instrument electronic subassembly hardware, PCBAs, components, and cablesCoordinate multiple electronics issues simultaneously to address needs prioritized by severity and timing for implementation needsParticipate in obsolescence-driven redesign of PCBAs and other components.Review manufacturing and customer issues to plan and prioritize technical responsesBe capable of lab testing of circuits using electrical test equipment including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and emulatorsDesign transfer to manufacturing through Engineering Change processQualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering minimum2+ years of experience in the design of analog or mixed signal circuitsExperience with Jira and Confluence modules of the Atlassian toolset is beneficial but not requiredExperience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Expedition, Mentor Graphics toolset preferredExperience with lab testing of board level electronic designsExcellent written and oral communication skillsCompany DescriptionWaters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) is a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
