Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Rapid Response Nurse is responsible for providing immediate, high-quality nursing care in the emergency department setting. This role requires quick assessment and intervention to stabilize patients, ensuring effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to urgent patient situations, delivering critical interventions as needed.
• Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately, prioritizing care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and perform procedures such as blood draws and moderate sedation.
• Monitor patient status continuously using equipment such as GE monitors and ventilators.
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate effectively with ED staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent emergency department or rapid response experience.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, compassion, and empathy skills.
• Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Show flexibility to float and adapt to unit policies, including weekend and on-call shifts.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
